This album is finally up for pre-order. I'm usually a lot quicker than this but it kept getting stuck. Next job is to send out promos, which I'll do....sometime.....between now and release day! Blargh. But yay! It's nearly out.

I got it in 2022 and it hasn't lost its appeal...still sounding wild and coming out with new/unexpected stuff. I've met people who didn't get on with it, but I love it!

Two people in faded workwear jackets sit on some decking outside what look like beach huts, but are actually artists' studios! They are both holding mugs and the person on the left has been caught mid-mouthful.

A confusing cardboard structure stands on a desk. It's made of panels sticking out at different angles and it's got neon and black paint on it. It doesn't photograph massively well, but luckily this is a work-in-progress shot. It's the cardboard structure from my project 'And then the next thing you know'.

A collage of photographic material and text overlaid in a pretty dense and jumbled way. Visible are megaphones, ocarinas, microphones, a handheld recorder, a snare drum, text from instruction manuals, cables and an otamatone, which is a plastic instrument that looks a bit like a saxophone but with a face...this is my promo image for the student concert.

Ten tracks, one from each year of the band's existence, recorded live around the UK (and briefly online) and lovingly excavated from the band's archives.

I loved their debut, but this second album from Breathing Heavy (Sam Andreae and @ciaranmackle.bsky.social ) really brings their interaction to a new level of frenzied cohesion... Live sax and reed samples tessellating like a flock of birds/hornets in the most bamboozlingly skronky way possible...😍
