John Woodvine was born on 21 July 1929 and passed away on 6 October 2025 at the age of 96. He was an actor and voice artist. John has contributed English voices to international shows such as The Water Margin. He also narrated shows such as All Our Working Lives. On television, his most prolific role was as Chief Superintendent John Kingdom in LWT's New Scotland Yard. Hector is an 18-year-old orange-haired Colonial era patriot who turned up, often as an unsung hero, during various stages of American history. In later cartoons he was accompanied by his faithful red-and-yellow dog Winston who talked with a slight English accent. Heathcote was also antagonized by a big bully named Benedict, who parodied the infamous American traitor Benedict Arnold. Additional cartoons in the program included Hashimoto-san, a Japanese mouse, and Silly Sidney the Elephant, a wacky pachyderm whose friends included Cleo the giraffe and Stanley, a cantankerous lion. Jilly has written many books in the Rutshire Chronicles series over many years. Several of her novels have been adapted for television. These are Emily, The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous, Riders and Rivals of which she made a cameo appearance. Cooper also wrote her own sitcom called It's Awfully Bad for Your Eyes, Darling. Saint and Greavsie was a television show in which former footballers Ian St John and Jimmy Greaves discussed current football themes such as the day's matches. It ran on ITV from 5 October 1985 to 27 June 1992. Their collaboration as television football pundits started with On the Ball in World of Sport. Usually St John would host from the London studio and would cross over to Greaves, who was elsewhere, to get his views, but they were eventually based in the same studio. The segment was highly popular, leading to the commissioning of Saint and Greavsie as a programme in its own right immediately after the demise of World of Sport in September 1985. The segment was highly popular, leading to the commissioning of Saint and Greavsie as a programme in its own right immediately after the demise of World of Sport in September 1985. Jane Goodall was born on 3 April 1934 and passed away on 1 October 2025 at the age of 91. She was a zoologist, primatologist and anthropologist. Jane was considered the world's foremost expert on chimpanzees, having studied the social and family interactions of wild chimpanzees for over 60 years. Goodall first went to Gombe Stream National Park in Tanzania to observe its chimpanzees in 1960. Jane has appeared in many hundreds of television interviews, documentaries, films and wildlife series showing her amazing work.
