Another question, this time asking if specific canons will be required. Canon will not be a tag we are matching on so you can create work set in any of the three Trigun canons you prefer or even set in an AU.

However you only have to include ships or characters that you included in your offer in your final gift for your recipient. You will have at least one ship or character in common with the request you are assigned.

One more thought! You may be matched with someone who also requested ships that make you uncomfortable or that you don't want to write. That is just a hazard of the way this exchange is run.

I did want to add an addendum to this, I will be checking the works as they are added to ensure that none of the requester's DNWs were included in the work. If they were, I will contact the creator and ask if they are able/willing to edit the work and if they are not it will be sent for pinch hit.

With that said, we did not have any issues related to this in the Vash Birthday Exchange. The matching timeline may be overly optimistic but any delays will be communicated to the participants ASAP.

3. You may get work that you are not 100% comfortable with, that is a risk in any exchange! The exchange will never require you to create something that you don't feel comfortable writing, however nothing is perfect and your gift might not be exactly what you want.

2. prompts are not binding, if you do not feel comfortable writing any of your assignment's prompts you can either contact me and we will get that assignment pinch hit or you can simply write something unrelated to the prompts but still including the characters and/or ships in the assignment.

with that request will be required to abide by those DNWs. We do not have an option for writers to include what they do not feel comfortable writing, for a few reasons:

1. Offers are inclusive not exclusive, meaning that you only need to offer ships and characters you feel comfortable writing.

I am planning on matching this just like I did the Vash Birthday Exchange which was matched on ships/characters. Creators were not allowed to include ships that were not included in their assignment. Requesters can indicate do not wants (DNWs) in their request and the creator that is matched

We received a question on the interest check regarding turnaround time with matching and how that relates to people potentially having squicks/etc.
