Yeah, having to buy Joao in order to move on Conor was a bit annoying, but given we've managed to move on Joao and actually be net neutral/slightly positive on his deal, I don't think we should be too disappointed about it. I do find it surprising we've managed to find someone for Joao though

I'm not sure how keeping Gallagher would have helped. Contract was running down slowly and we've quite clearly seen that he does not have first team quality, he cannot even get consistent minutes for a manager who's preferred style is just begging for a Gallagher style player.

Do you think CITB for defenders alone would be enough to outweigh for example, set piece threat?
