Ive given it a wipe down with machine oil already :) it was sticky with the gunk before. I was hoping to remove more of the caked-on stuff particularly around the decals, but i don't want to remove them or the finish so I'll be very careful moving forward.

I couldn't find the original formula locally :( its a water-less hand cleaner found in the automotive section, very soft. I did scrub this bit with a green pad to try and get through the gunk. (Gently and only in this spot.)

Well, vintage machine enthusiasts of BlueSky, I used a GoJo-like cleaner to try and get at this spot. Do we think this is the varnish coming up or the truly thick amount of a minimum half-century of gunk and grime? (All that alligatoring on the right? Gunk and grime.)

I misread the caption as Cathy and Jean at home, and naturally assumed the cat's name was Jean (pronounced the French way). How sophisticated 😂

I made this dress in 2023 and it was just too wide across the shoulder. Lasy year i remade the bodice and added the sleeves.

Accidentally deleted my original post 🤦 this is a tshirt i converted to a camisole and when I tell you i wear this *a lot*, i mean *a lot*. A+ decision, well done me. It's 40 years of ciagrette smoke residue, filtered through an asbestos-laden popcorn ceiling, pouring from an unmaintained radiator system 🙃 (don't ask how i know)
