there are exactly ONE look to the plastic SoB. that is THE look that GW has decided and thats all theyve done. they dont have alternate upgrade bits like they with space marines. cos they didnt come up with them. or dont feel comfortable/brave enough to translate the distinct looks into plastic

thats why there are 18 different flavors of marines. DOUBLE that if you count HH. more if you count the non founding chapters.

and also its cos those factions warranted a distinct enough culture to warrant distinct visual difference which allows distinct plastic minis.
