I've had this Ral Partha AD&D Firbolg giant for many years and finally got around to fixing it tonight. The sword handle commonly snaps off on this figure, and whilst repairing it I decided I wanted to give him more of a Green Man vibe...

I am midway through building up and detailing the sword handle replacement. I want some stylised polished root knots like Gandalf's knobbly bits.

I am shaped 1.5 mm plasticard using a diamond file for the initial core.

it helps to understand if you view

-Toughness as to how tough the meat is... like a steak.
-Wounds as to how many cuts you need to make to get through... like a steak.

so the real conclusion is... the half naked dwarf... would taste terrible as a steak.

The engineering option with VSFA36 in place of the main turret. No reason why it couldn’t go on top of the hull instead of at the front.

Rear view with the officer completing his inspection. Someone is going to get a reprimand for having the tank so rusty.

There's a medium sized steam tank in the webshop now. The AV1 😬

It has an option for an engineering version but there's no reason why you couldn't add any of the turrets or other bits that have the 25mm plug/slot.

something drastically different tho.

not necessarily thematically relevant or anything. but the large sweeping harganeth cloth/chainmail gives me an idea of a big skirt. like on a dancer with a big glowing dress/skirt. a sword dancer maybe.

doesnt fit other units exactly... but hey. why not.

even biggerer sword. and then full mask, a mix of the DoK and Har Ganeth stuff for... no reason. it just looks neat. added trim to boob armor. cos. why not

and an overall red tint. especially around the feet. to tie visuals to blood. but thats just a paint thing.

they are heavily armored for DoK. so... could probably have been a convergent replacement for the Har Ganeth executioners
