Good time to bump this. Donating all profits to the Trevor Project. Grab a book, do some good.

Raising awareness of the bad thing is important, but what I really hope to see is more people sharing what support is available so people in distress right now still know where to contact.

It's important that this message gets out. Cancelling funding for the 988 part is horrible.
But I am seeing far too many people posting that now there is no help available. For someone in crisis that is very harmful as well.

Trevor Project is available directly, so is Trans Lifeline.

How did Ren get their scar?

It's a reference sheet of my original character (Pokemon trainer) Kyo!, he is a 18 year old Pokemon trainer from Kanto, Pallet Town and his starter is a bulbasaur named Ren. Kyo is a black-haired male with light skin, freckles and a green jacket with fur. He is also wearing black snickers, a black shirt underneath his jacket and blue jeans. His Bulbasaur named Ren is right next to him and he has a wary expression. Ren has heterochromia, his left eye is blue and his right one is red, he also has a long scar on his blue eye that goes all the way to the bottom of his mouth. The reference sheet has a lot of information about both of them, including different expressions and close-ups of their faces and unique features.

The risk is this will reduce their funding making them more reliant on donations.

Now would be a really good time to help the charities by donating or fundraising if you can to make sure they can still provide support.

The news is horrible, but we need to make sure we’re not scaring people into not contacting a service which is available, or worse feeding despair.

The news about funding for 988 option 3 being cut is very upsetting.

But please can we make sure the message going out is that there IS still support available.

Trevor project will remain contactable directly. Trans Lifeline is still there. Help IS available, even with the cuts.

This is horrible news but I don’t think it’s great that people are posting that services have stopped entirely. Risks people who need help not contacting services that still exist.
