The Whoop don’t have cameras, microphones, or screens. So Bluetooth is really the only major threat vector, unless there was a supply chain compromise. Then you have the obvious risks of embedded microphones and hijacked firmware.

I’ve never taken a wearable in a SCIF. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Susie Wiles is wearing an Apple Watch during a highly classified meeting on Iran.

Unreal.

I don’t think we’ve heard the last of Iran yet. They have an extensive succession plan, their military has standing strike orders in the case of decapitation strikes, etc.

Now that they’ve announced the Supreme Leader’s death, I would expect a big retaliation, or at least an attempt at one.

I hope it does, but I’m skeptical.

There’s an old maxim in the military:

β€œThe enemy gets a vote”

No matter how well you plan, shit can and will go sideways on you.

They’re absolutely going to keep rolling over. They might even hit him with the β€˜thank you sir, may I have another’

The thing with regime change is that you never know how it’s going to end.

I’d be very surprised if we end up with a less radical regime here.

In situations like this, the hardliners almost always come out on top.

I think they were too kind, honestly.

They didn’t call him a fucking idiot.

01.03.2026 03:12 β€” πŸ‘ 646    πŸ” 32    πŸ’¬ 5    πŸ“Œ 1

Essentially they’re hoping the Iranian people will rise up and push what’s left of the regime out of power and that someone sympathetic to the West will take over.

Lot of hopes and dreams, not a whole lot of actual strategy to make it happen from what I’ve seen.

I don’t think the US will be attacked militarily, but I think there’s definitely an escalated risk of sleeper cells, lone wolf attacks, etc. in the coming weeks.

I was glad to see that the government issued multiple announcements on that possibility today.

I absolutely trust career FBI and DHS folks to take care of the homeland.

The political appointees? I trust them about as much as gas station sushi

Oof. I’m sorry to hear that. I hope he and his troops stay safe.

The administration seems to think we can bomb them for a week or so and then go back to normal.

I think that’s probably optimistic, but they DID take out a ton of IRGC leadership today too. Maybe it’ll go better than I think.

01.03.2026 03:22 β€” πŸ‘ 753    πŸ” 45    πŸ’¬ 6    πŸ“Œ 1

They definitely have a detailed succession plan and plans for strikes on specific bases in the event of a mass decapitation strike (like we witnessed today).

Obviously, the USAF and IAF are doing everything they can to prevent Iran from launching missiles, but unlikely they stop them all.

01.03.2026 03:24 β€” πŸ‘ 801    πŸ” 64    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

No, they won’t.

So far, the only line we’ve identified for the GOP was trying to tax millionaires. They said fuck no to that.

Everything else seems to be fair game.

Not really, no. The timeline got moved up a little bit because of the meeting at the Supreme Leader’s compound, but only by a few hours.

They were going to wait until nightfall, but decided the opportunity was too good to pass up.

Will there be anything more stupid than Donald Trump wanting credit for stopping wars he started?

OCASIO-CORTEZ STATEMENT ON
TRUMP'S COMBAT OPERATIONS IN IRAN
"The American people are once again dragged into a war they did not want by a president who does not care about the long-term consequences of his actions. This war is unlawful. It is unnecessary. And it will be catastrophic.

"Just this week, Iran and the United States were negotiating key measures that could have staved off war. The President walked away from these discussions and chose war instead.President Trump flippantly acknowledged the possibility of American casualties, stating "that often happens in war.'

"Mr. President: this was not an inevitability. This is a deliberate choice of aggression when diplomacy and security were within reach. Stop lying to the American people.

"Violence begets violence. We learned this lesson in Iraq. We learned this lesson in Afghanistan. And we are about to learn it again in Iran. Bombs have yet to create enduring democracies in the region and this will be no different.

"In moments of war, our Constitution is unambiguous: Congress authorizes war. The President does not. I will do my part to uphold our Constitution by voting YES on Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie's War Powers Resolution. Every member of Congress must join us in rejecting this aimless war.

The morally bankrupt Trump administration has partnered with another morally bankrupt authoritarian to declare an unprovoked war on Iran, already killing scores of civilians.

We need an immediate vote from Congress on a War Powers Resolution. Then articles of impeachment.

The U.S. military is not any president’s plaything. The Constitution puts the responsibility on Congress alone to decide whether and when to take on the profound costs of war.
