My tree is done!!

I was trying to decide which look to stick with, when I realized I can switch it back-and-forth this often as I want to!

Made myself a nice little semi-homemade dinner of black beans and rice with turkey andouille sausage served on a bed of fresh baby spinach and arugula with requisite tasty toppings. Not bad for a Monday!

80% finished decorating, and I’m veryhappy with how things are shaping up. All that’s left now is the fun part, putting the ornaments on the tree. 🌲

I had an impossibly delicious cocktail at lunch. Far more like a punch than a bloody Mary.

Had a wonderful lunch with my sister and nephew at the American Swedish Institute before touring the mansion and looking at the Christmas decorations

So true! Although when I was growing up, the only form I saw cabbage in was coleslaw, and I hated that.

Mine had been judging me in similar fashion, as had the pound of grown beef that I thawed. I did it with smoked paprika, garlic, onions, celery, green and red bell pepper, a can of fire roasted tomatoes, some beef bouillon paste, and tomato paste. Yum.

Cooked up a whole bunch of cabbage tonight. Dinner for the rest of the week unless I decide to freeze half of it. Turned out so tasty!

And one thing that I really like is that you can decide between higher and lower intensity on the lights

100% loving my new Christmas tree. The first one I’ve ever had with an app that controls all the light options. 😂

Perhaps in some of the mayhem scenes, but the cool thing about the movie is that the sets are all actually built, even the ship stuck in the ice

I loved it. Sumptuous colors, great acting, and no CGI in sight.
