unsure what I am doing wrong, but I cannot seem to post on here, or see conversations...

18.02.2025 02:14 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0cool!
I will do my best to be there.
(love that new nature center...great landscaping too)
did you see how much of the decay is inside the trunk?
(I enjoy the Resistographs, showing the patterns various fungi produce)
πto quote Captain Kurtz, "exterminate the brutes"
14.02.2025 00:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0ah, I see you are looking at this same bluff I was.
Would like to compare notes.
ah, is that Chetzemoka?
(just did a report for mitigation on that bluff...a major part of which was getting that fuckin' ivy out of there)
Also, when is your Sequim lecture on bluffs?
I can no longer count the number of times I have consulted on a mass planting and seen almost every tree planted well below the root flare. Or else see them slowly sink because the holes are dug with machinery that loosens soils deeper than necessary.

07.02.2025 00:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Our extended cold of Jan and Feb will balance out the weirdly warm Nov-Dec, the choruses of Christmas Frogs and early blooming Salmonberry.
In hindsight, this year will be looked back on as "average."
But in the here and now, this has been one very weird weather winter.
I am an ISA Certified Arborist (PN-784A) with over 30 years experience in arboriculture, and almost every other aspect of the landscape (a long and varied background).
Too old and fat for climbing, I now work by consulting from terra firma where I am least likely to damage the trees or myself.
