Rest in peace, Tom Noonan 💙 A terrific actor and indie filmmaker. It's ironic that Tom died on Valentine's Day, as his 1994 masterwork, What Happened Was... which he wrote, directed, and starred in, is easily the most painfully uncomfortable first date film ever made.

We recently watched this "making of" short on Popcorn, and we were stunned to discover that theatre used in the film was the historic Ward Theater in Kingston, Jamaica! According to the short, it was abandoned and in bad shape so they had to make it work.
