The House Oversight Committee just voted to subpoena Pam Bondi as part of the panel's Epstein investigation.
The vote was 24-19. 5 Republicans voted in favor.
Hegseth makes Rumsfeld or Kissinger look like hippy peaceniks
Imagine having that much ego you think you're in charge of the world
Oh my word. Albo got a copy of the Liberal Party election review that they tried to bury last week and has tabled it just now in Question Time π

Well I guess we know the answer in the White House to the question if Bibi jumped off a cliff what would you do

The march has grown somewhat as it heads northward on Michigan Ave. toward Chicago's riverfront. Temps outside have dropped below freezing.
The lead vehicle, moments ago, led a chant of "No war with Iran, no more warships, no more bombs"
We are deeply concerned by the situation in Iran. Our first thoughts are with the people caught up in this conflict - in Iran, in the countries in the wider region, and the New Zealand families worried about loved ones. We recognise the courage of Iranians who have taken to the streets demanding change, at enormous personal risk and we condemn the serious human rights violations that have been perpetrated against them. Military escalation does not produce the stability the region needs. The attacks on Iran and the retaliatory strikes undermine international peace and security and put civilian lives at risk. New Zealand must urge all parties - including close allies - to show restraint, pursue diplomatic solutions and first and foremost, protect the rights and safety of Iranian civilians. New Zealand must use its voice on the world stage to call for de-escalation, for a return to negotiations, and for the right of the Iranian people to determine their own future.
Thatβs a proper Labour/Labor party statement from Chris Hipkins, leader of New Zealand Labour.
Speaks to values, values of peace, international law, and the values of the people of Aotearoa.
Aotearoa New Zealand is a country with a big heart, this is how Iβm used to that place responding.
If you are unsure of the legal status of the attacks by US & Israel, then why the support for military action, @albomp.bsky.social ? #auspol

All these things can be true at once:
ππ»The Iran regime should be toppled - theyβve just killed 40,000+ Iranians
ππ»Trump is the worst and most incompetent person to try to destroy the Iran regime
ππ»USβs allies have to support the US because otherwise theyβre supporting Iran.
Itβs complicated, folks!
Albo is turning the temperature down by backing an illegal war against a sovereign state, ok, cool are we all feeling cool

Albanese would 100% have backed the Iraq War if he was PM. Would have supported it harder than Howard.

The belief that Reza Pahlavi- a nepo baby who has spent his life in the US living off the billions his father stole from the Iranian people- is some sort of democractic saviour is a delusional Western happy-ending fantasy. He is not a good guy.
