which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice

grappling with the fact that i’m struggling with my mental health right now. work is fine. im back in my home state. i see family every weekend. i can be upbeat and happy and mask with them and coworkers.

but im still struggling when im on my own

do you ever feel self conscious that you might be *too* whimsical and quirky for the people around you? are they manic pixie dream girling me? am i manic pixie dream girling myself?

people need more whimsy in their lives dammit!

i think you can technically eat persimmon skin but i’ve never done so??? no one in my family ever has??? i don’t recommend it?

I could probably sit and peel and eat a whole bag of them in one sitting. I hope you like them when you try them. such a good sweet fruit

fuyus are more squat and kind of look like orange tomatoes. you can peel and eat them when they’re still slightly crunchy

hachiyas are more giant acorn shaped? you HAVE to let them fully ripen until they’re super duper soft otherwise they’re super astringent

i normally just peel and eat them! are they hachiyas or fuyus?

i’m considering trying to make a persimmon tart with persimmon custard in a graham cracker crust.

i mentioned i’m going persimmon picking this weekend and my coworkers called me a woodland fairy with my crafts and baking and my floral skirts 😂

i want you to be healthy enough to not be in pain when you do something you love! (coming from someone with chronic pain who has bad posture when she crafts 😅)

sometimes i think of my previous job and get PTSD flashbacks of the way I was treated and the things that were said to me and I get so anxious that my current job will become the same way
