A fun thing you can do is pop onto Zillow, look at all rentals in a random chunk of the greater LA area, sort by recently changed, then check every price increase to see if it was more than 10%. If there's no obvious changes (didn't go from unfurnished to furnished) then report it for price gouging.

i also simply do not know how to bring up to people i care about that i'm disappointed in them stopping masking in public when they're scientifically literate, social justice literate, able to mask (whether due to safety, financial, disability etc), AND view themselves as a good person

being in multiple disability centered/disability justice groups has been so freeing and healing but at the same time it really just amplifies the grief and anger towards non maskers who know better
