It works for some cars, to just call them by the model (or nickname), usually sports cars but not always. Corvette, Countach, Trans Am, Falcon, Beetle.
Doesn't work for Ferrari, BMW, Jaguar, DeLorean and many others.

I was thinking yesterday that 4-5 should become the alternative. 4 and 5 both start with F, like 6 and 7 start with S. 2-3 has different phonemes (T and Th).
