News: Commanders across dozens of U.S. military bases told troops the war on Iran is part of "God's plan" so Trump can bring about "Armageddon"

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) has been "inundated" with complaints since the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran over the weekend, receiving more than 110 complaints from U.S. military personnel stationed at dozens of sites across the Middle East. Journalist Jonathan Larsen broke the story, sharing specific complaints made by troops. One such complaint made by a noncommissioned officer reported that their commander had "urged us to tell our troops that this was 'all part of God's divine plan' and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ." "He said that 'President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth," the NCO continued. "He had a big grin on his face when he said all of this which made his message seem even more crazy." MRFF told Larsen that over 110 complaints came

Including calling the war with Iran "part of God's plan" and Trump "anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon”

Trump is not a gift from God. He is a test and many failed

As I understand it, it is the policy of the United States that the President can unilaterally issue orders to kill the leader of any country any time for any reason? Or kidnap them and bring them to the U.S. for trial for lesser crimes than the U.S. President had committed.

Am I missing something?

So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:

- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.

That one person can drag us into a war without consulting or even notifying Congress, or our allies, or fully explaining to the American people why this is necessary, is absolutely bonkers.

Reminder that Congress has the power to stop this.

At least the families of the fallen have this to comfort them.

A big part of the authoritarian playbook is war. War takes over the news. War blots out criticism. War divides a nation’s people, subjecting those against it to being called unpatriotic. War grants leaders all sorts of emergency powers. War consumes everything else.

We mustn’t let this war do so.

I don't understand this coordinated response of Dems going, "Trump owes us an explanation for attacking Iran!"

Do they expect his failure to provide one will produce a politically advantageous gotcha? Come on. Just say the war is stupid, wasteful and it should cease. Stop being weak and terrible.
