Our commitment to colleagues and partners world-wide does not flag as we look forward to some resolution of the current restrictions. If anything, narrative medicine contributions are proving to be exactly what is needed in times of conflict, distress, and challenges to care.

Due to the recent, sudden developments in the federal government of the United States that impact educational and health care programs nation-wide, including at Columbia University, Narrative Medicine’s capacity to welcome colleagues to our campus right now is severely curtailed.

With sadness, we’re announcing we’ve made the very difficult decision to postpone our narrative medicine workshop "Attention to Self and Other: Narrative Medicine in Practice" that was planned for May 30-June 1 in New York City.
