I remain convinced that Advertising companies have 3 go-to plans for any new TV commercials:

1. Talking babies
2. Old people doing cool stuff/ being gangsta
3. People dancing

All ads are variations on those themes.

So I wanted to standardize most of my work software tooling to a single language and the question was should I port my Go to Python, or my Python to Go?

I've decided on Python being primary... it is just too useful, too universal, and too _fun_ to not be number 1.

No, it's not. It's to create an artificial situation where the interviewee must grovel and dance to the tune of the interviewer. It's a power play, nothing more, nothing less.

Of course... they support deleting all IP law _until_ it affects them personally. Think they will be OK with people just using _their_ copyrighted code, patents and trade secrets? Of course not. They want to be able to legally _steal_ from others, plain and simple.

If the extent of your training consisted of knowing how to get in and out of the capsule, and how to attach your seatbelt, then you went on _a ride_.

An expensive, privileged ride.

One of my major triggers in when someone _purposely_ misconstrues and misrepresents what I say, _and_ they get away with it. The sad part is that it's a known trigger and some people do it specifically so they get a reaction. I gotta work on just letting it slide.

Maybe it is time for some truly independent and neutral organization to take the lead on defining (and enforcing?) what is _really_ Open Source AI.

No baggage. No history. No corporate conflicts. Just a focus on "Open" AI and all that it entails.

I think it’s a pretty good chance that we’ll just see more of the same with this new OSI board. Which is not necessarily a good thing.

Southwest Airlines is turning into Just Another Airline, and it's a darn shame. No real reason to stick with them anymore.

It is great to return to the ASF Board after a voluntary respite of 5 years. There is much to do, and the entire board is excited to get started.

There is no excuse for this. This is what happens when zealots feel that the ends justifies the means, no matter how vile the means, or how questionable the ends.

Sure, you can decry those who seem to always be sounding the alarm, or you could decry those who refuse to do so and instead keep their voices silent. If they stood up, we could sit down sometimes.
