I get they want him to feel welcome. But he hasn't played in weeks, the team aren't creating many chances for a quality 9 to convert, so it's alarming yah.

I don't want to seem down on COT civil servants; they make the city what it is, I enjoy the output of their labour every day. But where it's clear the city should be better, the mayor has to work, push, cajole (and now on some issues just dictate?) for that change.

Yes, but there are some clear directions for improvement where there's a broad public consensus (e. g more public restrooms, denser development) yet inertial resistance to be overcome (e.g Councillor Holyday, rigid civil service mgmt). The leadership's job is clear: make a consensus & get it done.

💯 agree. Toronto civil service is a slow moving ship & needs someone with both popular support and political capital to invest to effect change.

That Tory instead chose to keep a status quo & slowly strangle the city, despite it being plain that it wasn't working, tells me he's a poor leader.

SJ was the big loss. His xGoals saved was basically top of the league. Rosted & Long were good (not great) at recoveries, tackles, interceptions, xG against, but the keeper is the largest change
