I found out one of my favorite YouTube creators died. The Desert Drifter would take you on hikes with him through the American southwest, taking you to hard to reach places and pointing out archeological sites you will never see. I’m going to miss him dearly.

I miss my trees 😔

I found flowers petals from Oaxaca on the soles of my shoes.
My brains said “oh my god how poetic” followed by “shit fuck! This is how invasive pests travel” so I’m scrubbing my shoes. Still poetic

Listening to two friends going through situations I have experienced has been strangely cathartic for me. I can hear their anguish in their voice and fears. And I know it all. It’s frustrating that all I can do is tell them “give it time” that’s really the only balm I can offer besides understanding

Weird thing I’ve noticed about myself traveling internationally. I never have (or mostly) a stomach issue. Adjusting to the foods of a region doesn’t bother me. It’s shocking because I have a sensitive stomach. Back in the USA though I get wrecked. Absolutely live or die by a need for pepto or like.
