09.08.2025 17:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The "Clicky Monitor" Chrome plugin was just updated last week to support MV3, so get on it! chromewebstore.google.com/detail/click...
26.07.2025 00:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We added a new clicky_custom parameter, "site_id_replace". It addresses a specific edge case where a SPA/dynamic site is using multiple site_ids on the same domain. clicky.com/help/custom#...
05.07.2025 16:14 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Multiple customers have reported big traffic drops from Pinterest in the last few weeks, but it sounds like it's something with Pinterest as we've had confirmation that other analytics tools are showing a similar drop in traffic.

10.06.2025 16:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We noticed a new kind of "referrer spam" recently, but instead of fake referrer URLs, they're adding fake query parameters to your site's real URLs. Most of them are promoting porn and/or OnlyFans creators. We're hard blocking the ones we know of today, but let us know if see any others.
05.06.2025 18:01 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Does anyone have a contact at Google to address this? We just tested again, and pagespeed is *still* using Chrome 94.
Google uses pagespeed to penalize slow sites in search results. This seems extremely sketchy and lazy of them, to allow such an outdated browser to have this kind of impact.
Bots now make up >30% of worldwide internet traffic according to @cloudflare.social radar.cloudflare.com
It's been bad for a while, but AI has really accelerated it. This is why we focus so much of our time on preventing this garbage traffic from being logged in the first place!

Our numbers are usually lower than Google and other trackers because of aggressive bot filtering, but recently we've had multiple emails saying our numbers are higher than Google's. I'm guessing this is the main culprit!

A customer notified us that GA doesn't log prerender hits until the page is actually viewed. We tried this ~10 years ago when they were first testing prerender, but we had a lot of complaints cuz it was so different. Now that it's apparently the standard, we'll add that back soon...

21.03.2025 17:53 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Surface level, Google PageSpeed says they're using Chrome 133. Click for more info, suddenly it's Chrome 119. Actually use it though? Chrome 94 from 2021.
How does anyone actually rely on this?
We've changed the version threshold for blocking old Chrome, and confirmed the issue disappeared immediately.
Why would Google lie about the version of Chrome being used by PageSpeed though? Seems kinda weird?
Google lying
Correction - they do show the user agent in the results, but clearly, it's a lie, or they wouldn't be getting blocked and the live results wouldn't show version 94.
13.03.2025 21:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Google PageSpeed Insights is showing an error for sites with Clicky because blocking old ass user agents is one of the many ways we filter out bot traffic.
Of course, Google doesn't share what user agent they use, so we plugged in whatmyuseragent.com and...

10.03.2025 06:05 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Google Maps keeps dropping the hits!
The new color scheme from last year is straight out of Windows 95, the pricing is tripling next month, and now we have this... interesting.... UI for zoom and pan.
Have you ever seen a button layout like this? What is going on?
Gmaps alternatives?
Lots of self-hosted options based on OpenMaps data, but looking for full service.
Mapbox seemed promising a few years ago but now their pricing is barely cheaper than Google's.
Our Google Maps bill is about to triple, according to their price calculator - mapsplatform.google.com/pricing-calc... - but good luck using it, as finding out how many requests you make to their API is very well hidden.
And of course Google is spinning all this as wonderful amazing news π
Hi, thanks. I do see the issue and I'm looking into it.

db74 maintenance done & backlog processing, will catch up w/ real time in a few hours.
This was urgent & couldn't wait. There are some bugs with code updates we had to make. A few features are broken, e.g. filtering by custom data (on db74 only). We'll be monitoring & pushing updates this week. π
Not quite done. I need a few hours of sleep then I'll be back at it...

25.01.2025 20:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 1We just got a Paypal dispute for a transaction from 2021...???
How is that even remotely reasonable? Is there no limit to how far back you can dispute a transaction? Since we sell a service this costs us basically nothing, but imagine if we shipped physical products? WTF, Paypal!
Lot of support emails about declining search traffic in the last few months. Yes, SERPs with inline AI answers are handy, but they're killing the websites they get all their data from. No visitors = no ads = no money = websites shut down.

Hi, the 2FA emails are sent immediately. There may be a delay with your email server, but the timeout needs to be relatively short to keep it secure. Send in an email from your registered email address and we'll disable 2FA on your account so you can login.
12.12.2024 17:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Duplicate events were a bigger issue than you would ever expect, but the main motivation for this was one of our biggest customers having a major issue because of the way they implemented Ajax requests. We were unable to resolve it on their end so we just baked it into the code. EZ!
