I turned to the projection systems, tiebreakers, and strengths of schedule to try to game things out.

This is INCREDIBLE.

Real good basketball game between NY and OKC. Hopefully J-Dub and Mitch are each out there for the next one. Would love to see how that affects the matchup.

They started getting in the paint and the offense opened up.

This Cason Wallace performance on Jalen Brunson so far... sheesh.

The tracking data for this game will be wild re: chances that actually touched the paint.

Caruso on Towns is not a mismatch.

The Knicks will probably have to get into the paint at some point to win this game.

The Pelicans no longer own the pick so they're not involved.

Really annoying that the NBA scheduled this Knicks-Thunder ESPN game tonight with both teams on the second half of a back-to-back. Such an unnecessary own goal.

Great (probable) W for the shorthanded Cavs over the Pistons. Schroder, Tyson, Craig Porter Jr. all came up huge.

Three of them in less than 2.5 quarters tonight.

Nobody throws more behind-the-back passes these days than James Harden.

There is a scourge of "shooting" fouls that get called when players are clearly not shooting. It's getting ridiculous.

Not exactly the most auspcious Clippers debut for Darius Garland so far. Three turnovers (should be four) and just got caught not paying attention on a back cut by Podz.

The correct answer was Pavel Podkolzin.

I have some athleticism questions re: Demin, who also needs to show that he can create and/or make shots inside the arc. But like you said, it's all likely to be heavily dependent on the lottery.

Traore's passing is currently the best reason to watch the Nets.

Meanwhile, Clingan is nailing threes and Cade is blocking shots.

Yeah, centers generally aren't gonna take many corner threes to begin with so that's not surprising.

Probably both! Sample is pretty small but I still like to see him letting it fly.
