Thanks for the reminder Rohan. After decades as an Age subscriber, I saw this morning another in that vacuous series about private golf clubs. Toss in the occasional footballer/affair piffle and I’ve cancelled. Feel a bit sad but I’m sure I’ll find quality alternatives. Suggestions anyone?

My first concert! Saw them 25 years later at the same venue (Festival Hall, Melbourne). Just as good.

My Dad had the Seventh Sojourn album. I’ve always loved ’I’m Just a Singer in a Rock ‘n’ Roll Band.’ It’s probably even more prescient now. More recently I discovered two early heart wrenchers of the Moodies - ‘Go Now’ and ‘I Don’t Mind.’ If you’ve ever loved and lost, ‘Go Now’ will break you.

On our golf trips we always rib our mate at brekky who orders scrambled eggs. ‘Order from the adults’ menu!’

I loved that movie when I was a kid. We had the soundtrack too.

It was incredible.

Saw the SMS concert in Melbourne back in the day. And then used to go to see the movie all the time. Love it.

In other TV/movie news, it’s law that you must show the gun you pulled out of a glove compartment to the viewers.

I often point out to my wife that the actor being interrupted actually stops because they know the other actor has to interrupt them. But I do get that, in order to make this more realistic, we may then have difficulty understand what is being said.

Self defence - that’s gold. So he couldn’t just hop out of the way? Oh that’s right, he did.

Whatever the reason, I seriously doubt it justifies being shot in the head.

Australian here. I constantly say to my wife, ‘If we’re angry and disillusioned about the state of the USA, imagine how bad it is for people who actually live there and didn’t vote for the felon.’

The TV coverage is abominable. They never learn. The number of times they have a perfectly good angle and switch to a terrible one (or worse, 3 terrible ones in 2 seconds) is staggering. Show me ANY 2 minutes of footy from the last 25 years and I guarantee I can find several examples.

What does the ‘original’ season 4 mean? Isn’t that just season 4 or am I missing something?
