She adores my husband and they share such a great sense of humour. We wonβt be grandparents as youngest doesnβt want kids (and we respect that) but seeing them together makes me think that in another universe heβd be a fantastic grandad. Heβs happy being a cool great uncle instead π

There will be beer and curry happening today as he doesnβt like cake (the weirdo) and he doesnβt like the attention. Something his daughter has inherited (re: attention, she loves cake)

And itβs her dadβs turn for a birthday tomorrow, well technically today.
A few years back they both had milestone birthdays a day apart, that was a fun weekend! π

Youngest kid has had a really good birthday today. Sheβs was spoiled rotten & enjoyed herself very much. Can barely believe it was 25 years ago that she made her waay ahead of schedule terrifying entry in the world. Sheβs a great kid (and yeah, Iβm biased, so what? π€¨π)

Iβve burst a blood vessel in my left eye so the outward corner currently looks a little gruesome. Cue my son last night wanting me to close my eyes while brushing his teeth because he didnβt want to look at it.
Using an electric toothbrush, thatβs not happening.

He coped okay with the MTV ones that disappeared at the end of last year because he has βThatβs 80βsβ to watch. The ones left over are the βNowβ ones and the Clubland channel and if the βNowβ ones disappear (wouldnβt surprise me, tbh) then he will NOT be a happy chap.

Three more music channels leaving the Sky Q epg this weekend apparently. Which will leave the grand number of five left. My son loves the music channels and itβs the reason why he has a mini box in his room. One of them, Thatβs 80βs is his favourite & of course thatβs one of the ones scheduled to go

Iβd completely forgotten about the match (am watching Man of Steel on Sky One which I know everyone hates but I happen to love and hello, Henry Cavill) - just over 15 minutes played and two goals up. Howay the lads π€π€

25 years ago I was on enforced bed rest at the RVI maternity unit. I was 28 wks pregnant with my daughter. It was bleaching down with snow & Newcastle were at home to Man City which they lost, I believe. I remember hearing the roar of St James & getting into trouble for getting out of bed to listen.

The amount of people whoβve assumed that my sonβs autism is down to his MMR vaccination is mind boggling. They quickly shut up when I tell them my daughter was protected in utero from German measles exposure because Iβd had my rubella vaxx as a teen.

So now all the siblings are gone. Dementia took three of them and cancer took two. Iβm glad sheβs no longer suffering but dementia is one bastard of a disease.

My late dadβs eldest sister passed away this afternoon at the grand old age of 90. She was the first one diagnosed with dementia and the last one to go. She survived cancer but it was the dementia that ultimately claimed her. Her husband passed away from the disease before Christmas.
