She adores my husband and they share such a great sense of humour. We won’t be grandparents as youngest doesn’t want kids (and we respect that) but seeing them together makes me think that in another universe he’d be a fantastic grandad. He’s happy being a cool great uncle instead 😊

Have spent a very entertaining hour or so in the company of my sister in law, our nephew and our two great nieces. Youngest great niece is absolutely hilarious and she’s only four 😁😆

He’s about seven weeks from retiring and literally counting down the days…

And it’s her dad’s turn for a birthday tomorrow, well technically today.

A few years back they both had milestone birthdays a day apart, that was a fun weekend! 😁

Youngest kid has had a really good birthday today. She’s was spoiled rotten & enjoyed herself very much. Can barely believe it was 25 years ago that she made her waay ahead of schedule terrifying entry in the world. She’s a great kid (and yeah, I’m biased, so what? 🤨😁)

25 years ago I was on enforced bed rest at the RVI maternity unit. I was 28 wks pregnant with my daughter. It was bleaching down with snow & Newcastle were at home to Man City which they lost, I believe. I remember hearing the roar of St James & getting into trouble for getting out of bed to listen.

Watching Robert Aramayo win the Best Actor BAFTA and the joy and disbelief on his face is everything. His family, especially watching his dad’s reaction, his pride. Oh my word 🩷

My niece, brother and great niece have their birthdays the same week, each two days apart,

Birthday season hits my family with a vengeance from next weekend. Daughter and husband are a day apart next weekend, in the following 3 weeks, my nephew, my niece, my brother and my great niece have birthdays and then my in laws celebrate their 67th (!!!) wedding anniversary.

The amount of people who’ve assumed that my son’s autism is down to his MMR vaccination is mind boggling. They quickly shut up when I tell them my daughter was protected in utero from German measles exposure because I’d had my rubella vaxx as a teen.

My son is 32 and his eyebrows are ridiculous sometimes, they have to be trimmed along with his hair most times.

So now all the siblings are gone. Dementia took three of them and cancer took two. I’m glad she’s no longer suffering but dementia is one bastard of a disease.

My late dad’s eldest sister passed away this afternoon at the grand old age of 90. She was the first one diagnosed with dementia and the last one to go. She survived cancer but it was the dementia that ultimately claimed her. Her husband passed away from the disease before Christmas.
