How hard is it to get a copy of Maya nowadays?

Is there an older version that's free? A cheap student version?

I just want to tinker around in #3D and build stuff for #3Dprinting but don't have the time and patience to learn blender (see my almost two year old).

Ah the Carwyn Cellars Beer Advent Calendar rarely disappoints. The Pavlova beer was a huge highlight for taste and aesthetic. The Hazy DIPA is probably #1 so far.

I was unemployed for 7 months, every week I would see another project cancelled or studio shut down and think “well, fuck, that’s another 6-12 producers added to the group of us looking, applying to maybe 1-3 quality jobs available” and it sucked. It doesn’t reflect any of our skills or drive.
