The city feels less lonely when the streets are empty. I like to remind myself that all these lights represent individuals with their own lives, worries and dreams in a moment of peace and quiet. In a way it's very freeing to momentarily feel separated from it all.

I mean the difficult part would be to get the permission to imigrate in the first place, once you get into Norway there are systems in place to help you out, but AFAIK we don't accept American queers on grounds of oppression atm
