I think age is a factor here as well. More people coming out and finding people they vibe with because they have similar cultural backgrounds. Being older, I still feel more isolated, I don't have a lot of "peers". I can't imagine that level of comfort but I see it in others I know.

Same. It was 5 years before I met another trans person, but I came out 3 months before covid lockdowns started. Just this year I started going to a trans support group at the local LGBT center, and new people are always like "I've never seen this many trans people (30+) in one place before!"

Please help if you can. They don't know me, but their posts have helped me a lot in mapping the landscape of my own mind.

In fact, learn to see them as inspiration, as demonstrations of what is possible. They show you what you can achieve if you put in the same level of effort they've done. They didn't get there over night and you won't either, but they show you what you can achieve if you work at it.

Girl, you HAVE to center your transition. Nobody else will. If you wait for that you will never get to where you need to be, and that time is gone forever. Imagine what this will do to your self image, your mental health. Unless your partner is trans, they CAN'T truly understand this.

In some places, it's hard to find community. It's worth the effort. When you do find them, beat back your fear and shyness and reach out. Don't worry about how much or little progress you've made. These are your people, they will take you in and you need that more than you know.

There's plenty of girls trying to find the good ones, they'e just in damned short supply. Note that, in order to capitalize on this, the definition of "good one" would need to be the one the girls are using. But y'all probably don't know that one, it wouldn't occur to you to ask.
