Say a solemn prayer, place a poppy in my hair
There's no morning glory, it was war, it wasn't fair
And we will never go back

Scars long
For the tooth and claw
To feel the tearing
As if for the first time
To feel the pain
The rending of the flesh
To feel needed
To feel wanted
