The front cover of Waterwise Garden by Tom Massey. It has a yellow sun, the outline of plants, and yellow writing over a blue background.
After summer drought, we've recently had torrential rain. It makes knowing what to grow tricky!
I've been reading Waterwise Garden by Tom Massey which outlines ideas of how to garden with weather extremes. (Ad. Book given. Not paid.)

Mum was a gardener so the flowers had to be right and I wanted them to be British and arranged without floral foam.

White, orange and pink dahlias on a stone wall.
Sleet this morning so I'm glad I picked these yesterday. The last of the dahlias ahead of temps plummeting tonight.
They had a slow start - a couple decided to skip 2025 altogether - and then a late flurry of blooms. I'll be digging up the tubers this weekend.
