It would have been a comparatively easy choice to draw Kaneda and the gang on their bikes, or Tetsuo in his Imperial Phase, but this kind of minimalist youthful, joyous “BURN IT ALL DOWN” gets to the heart of the story, and suggests to me Toth at least GOT it, which also suggests he appreciated it.

Tatjana Wood has apparently passed away at age 99. Her father was Jewish so during WW2 her parents sent her to the Netherlands, then NY. She studied as a dressmaker, met/married Wallace Wood and began assisting him, then pivoted to becoming one of the best colorists in comics.

Sadly, the review has been lost to the ages along with the rest of the forum, but my husband can back me up on its existence. The one sentence he's been able to recall from it is "Hannah Montana is not the seat of God."

This reminds me of a forum I frequented as a teen that was dedicated to snarky recaps of bad movies. One poster gained notoriety for submitting a recap that started with a similarly buckwild historical tangent before awkwardly segueing into its main topic: the Care Bears movie
