Measles outbreak is over in Texas, state health officials declare The Texas Department of State Health Services declared the end of this year's measles outbreak, which has seen 762 confirmed cases​ and two deaths in the state.

Any outbreak if you do absolutely nothing eventually burns itself out. The caveat here is if we use prevention measures that are highly effective the outbreak ends quickly and deaths and hospital admissions are avoided. Two children died needlessly in Texas.
