After 2500 SRs, totaling 4500 resets, there is still no shiny Zapdos in sight, but we got to JAM to some sick VG OSTs (Blast Corps, Bomberman Hero, Neon White) that everyone should listen to!

We finished ff8 after many grueling hours.. and it is definitely a 9/10 game imo. I get the love and don't understand the hate. I'm a little sad the journey is over.. but Ultimecia too *forever* so I'm glad that's done. Can't wait to play it more offline.

I managed to speedrun through the Sevii Islands on LeafGreen.. which means FOUR Mewtwo checks a reset. Let's see if Mewtwo will be more willing to shine as the strongest Gen 1 legendary!

Turns out Disc 3 was a little longer than I thought... the boss fights seem to also be longer.. but oh well! We got a glimpse into Disc 4 before wrapping up.

Wild wild things. @derkoki.bsky.social being an absolute gigachad with the Pokemon ZA purchase, finishing the Sevii Islands, AND getting 500 SR checks on Mewtwo. So much in a 5 hour period of time.

We beat Metroid Dread! It's 100% the best individual Metroid game I've played so far, but I still place the Prime games ahead of it (but it is 1v3 lol)
We then continued exploring the Sevii Islands, which we will continue to do tomorrow as well!

Oh, man. The Elite Four.. harder than I remember, but definitely still just as fun to fight. Beat them by the skin of my teeth and then began exploring much of the Sevii Islands.. But didn't finish them yet.

So, after 1600 resets of Zapdos, we didn't get the shiny Zapdos.. but we did get the shiny Articuno after 23395 total soft resets. And while that's an INSANE number, it did finally arrive!

An hour and a half in, I'm changing the target to Zapdos. So, if you didn't like Articuno hunting, we are now focused on Zapdos hunting instead that's starting at 300 Resets!
