The M101 Galaxy, widely known as the Pinwheel Galaxy, is a massive face-on spiral galaxy located approximately 21 million light-years away from Earth. It resides in the constellation Ursa Major (the Great Bear), near the handle of the Big Dipper.

The Whirlpool and Pinwheel Galaxies. Amazingly, it was a clear night. A chance to revisit old friends. Nearly 5 hours spent on these two overnight by the Dwarf3 smart scope.
