I'm probably overengineering this. I've introduced simple genetic algorithm into my game bot, with a goal of hopefully finding most broken/fun builds. And to see how the game balance changes with each new item/upgrade.

I was wondering how bad a 100% random-move tactic would be in Dropt, so I made a simple bot to play the game for me.
The answer: it’s a really bad tactic.
But at least now I can build on it and run some automated tests in the future.

I'm creating my next game with just C#+https://dotnet.github.io/Silk.NET/ for OpenGL bindings instead of Unity and it takes so much less time to iterate on features. Mostly thanks to hotreloading of code that's pretty much instant. #gamedev

The intro paragraph reads: Another rare quintet month for IGotW which means a harder choice to make about which is the king of the hill. I'm going to give it to Picross 3D protégé Voxelgram (#439), which not only improved on Jupiter's innovative extra-dimensional twist on everyone's second favorite puzzle variant involving grids and numbers (damn you sudoku lovers, we're catching up on you) but managed to create a very chill and conductive environment to chipping away at blocks to make cute little 3D models appear, as if by magic. It has quite a tail on it too thanks to some community content creation tools: after you're done with the game's couple hundred built-in puzzles there's more than a thousand out there to download and take on. Looking forward to checking out its sequel some day.

I know that everyone is probably getting Silksong right now, but I would like to tell you that Voxelgram 2 on Switch was updated to include original Voxelgram DLC puzzles.

I think I get what you mean. So it would only color blocks if you are holding a button that is bound to coloring, stylus/touch would only rotate and select, but never paint without button pressed on JoyCon. I that's a doable feature.
