Also, unless he is impeached and convicted, he will be able to pardon himself for all of his many federal crimes before he leaves office, absolving himself and possibly all his minions of any federal charges. Given that, why would you ever not impeach him?

Impeachment does not preclude any other options in dealing with Donald Trump, so why not impeach him? If nothing else, it forces him to spend time and energy defending himself rather than doing more crimes, and if his conduct really does get sufficiently unhinged, the Senate might even convict him!
