Is Trump’s war on wind power a win for Canada? | CBC U.S. President Trump calls wind power projects "ugly losers," and it's putting a deep chill on investments. But Canada stands to benefit as wind companies consider new prospects off the East Coast.

It should be noted that Canadian politicians like Danielle Smith have been doing what they can to restrict clean energy development in the province of Alberta- Canada has an opportunity to expand clean energy but that opportunity is smaller thanks to Danielle Smith

I understand that- it wasn’t recently discovered. However methane is responsible for around 1/3 of global warming and about 1/3 of methane comes from oil and gas, and another 1/3 from livestock. However close to 70% of global warming can be attributed to C02, and 80% of that comes from fossil fuels

13.01.2026 20:26 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Reducing 80% of co2 emissions and 30% of methane would have largely solved it

You’re right to a degree. Animal agriculture is a big part of the problem as well, especially deforestation and methane emissions. But eliminating fossil fuels is really key as well, especially in context of C02 emissions.
