Here’s some of the half-assery I’m talking about. My more recent art is a mess that I didn’t even enjoy making— it’s me trying to hold onto vague concepts that worked before, detailing specific things while avoiding the bigger picture, or just flat out giving up. Let’s use these as a baseline. (2/3)

Two people face each other. A man on the right gently cups his large hand around a woman’s jaw on the left, looking down into her eyes as if he is about to kiss her. He is smirking, two scars tracing down from his only visible eye, a milky gray compared to her pitch black. Both of them have dark, messy hair, and the woman appears to be either tired or dazed. The man has a bit of stubble on his chin. They both seem to be shirtless, but the image is cropped near their shoulders, leaving most to the imagination.

Let’s begin with a look at some of my old art. These were pieces I made years ago. I enjoyed drawing them back then and I still enjoy looking at them today. Nowadays, drawing feels more like a chore than a fun hobby. I can only make it past a half-assed sketch if I force myself to. (1/3)
