Ignore the clickbaity title, the article beneath is really good:

Meme, based on Spiderman movie and "i'm nothing without this suit", transposed into "I'm nothing without my ORM"
11.01.2026 09:19 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Before I realized it, "written in Rust" has become kind of stamp of quality. It of course isn't that everything written in Rust is automatically good, but when I'm evaluating some alternatives, more often than not I end up choosing something that is written in Rust. Just an observation

I think I found the best example for custom code formatting.
This is from #adventOfCode 2016day2. The task is to match a crane going in cardinal direction over a grid of buttons, without going out of bounds
Two cases here, one is like docs and the other is aligned by columns so it acts as a table
Second day of #gleaming and this might be the functional language I would suggest to experienced developers wanting to learn functional. There is a certain charm and beauty to its simplicity and the defaults seems naturally discoverable, making #gleam truly a friendly language 😊

I am on a vacation so instead of resting I decided to try to do some old #adventofcode (2015) in a new language #gleam
I have to say it is quite enjoyable! Coming from #fsharp it is a bit like a more defensive version of what I know, but I do enjoy the simplified nature of the syntax. Well done
Nah, this still tops it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=g80d...

For now my neovim C# adventures end with... installing dance for VS Code, let's see how long I'll stick with it :)
I did manage to get C# in neovim working, but I'm just feeling like the setup is too fragile for everyday work
Thank you, I will certainly try it

After trying to "vibe code" C# neovim config I feel like Atom Eve creating a playground on the spot is the perfect metaphor.
Spoilers: She did create it, but the playground eventually collapsed
I think it is already happening with formats like Toon?
For PL I think the optimisation will be for better results not tokens IMO. And python/typescript will gain more and more, as they will just get better without doing anything, because of snowball effect.
Gemini 3 still fails all my turing tests, but it's the first one that I find gives me real value as an assistant

1. Terra Nova
2. 7 Wonders
3. Hail Hydra
4. Quest for El Dorado
5. Star Trek Away Missions
6. Just One
7. Jump Drive
The rest doesn't matter, this is all I need :)
I think it's almost a myth we are telling ourselves to not feel bad about summer ending

I have to be honest after hearing folks rave about Super Mario Galaxy, I had very high expactations and I'm pretty dissapointed with it. It was probably superb game 18 years ago when it launched, but the switch port didn't age well in my opinion.
Is the sequel better?
Ouch, he can't even properly read the data he is linking. Or worse he can and is deliberately manipulating

My AI specific domain knowledge test (that is easily searchable and verifiable by anyone using google in like 2 minutes) is still failing with major hallucation by all AI, except Claude who told me to google it, which is not bad, but not helpful either.
Baffles me that people go to AI for info
Sums my experience with AI each time.

02.08.2025 18:54 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Imagine a "hole" where you have to throw through a path of 20 mwith 25 cm width available to you. You can still make an argument for "git gud", but sudenly it becomes sad really fast. Challenges should be fair and reflect what you can normally see in disc golf, not some artificial untested rules
02.08.2025 18:52 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It is okay for a dgpt event, but not world championship. It's about the level of punishment for small mistakes, integrity of the rules and fairness of choosing a world champion. With Buncr rule it was better, with double stroke on OB and not being able to retrieve your disc it's just bad design
