They Came for Our Neighbors. We Showed Up. Before long, there were dozens, and then hundreds of people in the streets, watching and responding.

My latest is the story of how my community has rallied to protect and defend our neighbors in recent days, as ICE has targeted the Rogers Park neighborhood in Chicago. "This is not a story about a moment of victory, but a moment of being reminded of our power."

In most states, pointing a gun at someone who is not an imminent threat to you is a crime. It's the principle of proportionate force. The civilian had no gun, no weapon, and was outnumbered considerably. What kind of lame ass goon needs to "protect" himself in that situation by pointing a gun?

All you peacenik liberals wringing hands over what to do: Yes, of course, vote. It's your primary responsibility as a citizen.

But now more than ever, fulfill your second civic responsibility: Serve on juries. Never has it been more imperative to thwart rogue injustice.

This doesn't just affect rural areas. All those rural people who survive the 2+ hour transport are going to drown the capacity of remaining hospitals. There will be pain, injury, and death for everyone to share.

Religious leaders here are not mincing words. They have repeatedly used the word "evil."
