I’m starting to refresh my website. Standard context - CV, summary of research - but a new addition is going to be a blog. I realized that I needed an outlet for writing practice, as for a long time my writing was restricted to work purposes.

I need to start learning more about ORFF pedagogy, contemporary views about world music in school curriculums, and how we teach about other cultures in general. Fascinating things to think about!

I’m conducting interviews of people teaching taiko in K-12 settings. It’s been fascinating to learn more about this part of the taiko world that doesn’t get talked about much. It’s also pointing me in the direction of a few topics I need to research more. (1/2)
