6 months ago, voters in Ann Arbor decided turn the page on the Library Lot. Erich Z. shares an elegy for the Library Green Conservancy. The non-profit opposed the Props A and B and was found to have violated state campaign finance laws.

Oh yes! It would also work with no meat at all! We often make it that way. Just use more onions or veggie stock for a bit more flavor. A small amount of butter or olive oil just to carry a bit of flavor also helps. And lots of salt. 😂

Sorry, but I’m not pulling punches on this one. Being “anti-ICE” is the only possible “good messaging” that anyone that wants to be on the right side of history can have. Many issues have room for nuance, but this one doesn’t. You’re either anti-ICE or you’re wrong, and likely an awful human being.

From the Editorial Board: Every last American should agree the death in Minneapolis of a 37-year-old American mother of three at the hands of a gun wielded by an agent of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is an abomination and, we fear, a harbinger of yet worse to come.

I’m pretty well acquainted with most of these sites and even at low permanent vacancy rates, they have more full-time, year-round residents than they used to and they give back FAR more money to the city in taxes than the former structures. And the new condos shovel their sidewalks.

Oof, I bet someone is seriously looking for those!
