He'd been travelling on foot — so sadly, he'd be walking to her place. Each step would be taken with caution, trying to avoid inflicting any unnecessary pain

Another simple job turned into a massive shitshow. Guess I'll be taking it easy today and tomorrow.

The silence is starting to feel rather unsettling. He needs a distraction— Something to keep his mind in check before the side effects of one particular experiment overwhelms and drives him crazy.

Simply following and receiving assistance is plenty. Despite the constant pain, Cloud felt well enough to move, taking one step forward towards her.

❝I'll let you know if I do need a hand. Don't worry.❞

Cloud hesitates, debating on accepting help or trying to tough it out. He'd changed a lot over the years — especially now that he's finally himself and not putting on a SOLDIER persona.

But even so, he did occasionally still end up stubbornly tackling things alone, not wanting to burden others.

There's a hint of guilt behind his near stoic expression, doing his best to maintain a facade. She didn't need to know just how unpleasant the pain is — nor endure gruesome details of the job.

He'd nod, silently agreeing to accompany Yuffie if it meant cleaning up and getting himself patched up.

Cloud's eyes narrow slightly, gazing at the ninja while recalling what happened.

It was merely self defence - but someone's blood could be seen on his face while his own wounds were visible on his arms and torso. The sight wasn't exactly pleasant.
