Kamiya said the development of the cancelled 'Scalebound' could have been different with a Japanese publisher. There is less pressure from Japanese publishers if you want to create something new, western publisher follow more established formats.

Something I didn't mention in my story yesterday: one of the reasons that Team Cherry had such an enjoyable time making Silksong is that it's 2D. Nice and flat. Don't have to worry about 3D art pipelines.

I hadn't heard of Qzilla, the production company behind Crunchyroll's Sekiro anime. The trailer okay, but something felt kind of off. Looked them up on MAL and they didn't seem to have much motion in terms of the thirteen things its produced. Checked the company website and lo and behold.
