A reminder that Girl Scouting of America has welcomed trans and nonbinary girls from the first one that asked, has always had lesbian and bi members and adults, never declared bankruptcy to avoid paying for sexual assaults, and never poached the other side to recover from said bankruptcy.

One of the mothers I interviewed for this story was frustrated that she couldn't find many resources to help her navigate these conversations with her 3-year-old son.

So, we also created a guide to taking with your kids about ICE, based on tips from child development experts:

I've been thinking about how this has already played out in games - there was a massive push to convince the industry and world that there was this huge audience of angry reactionary gamers who weren't getting what they demanded. And it turned out there weren't that many and they don't buy games

It’s Lovecraft level racism, the kind that he would later deploy after September 11 in his fiction

Today, longtime CBS News producer Mary Walsh told her colleagues that she's leaving the network.

"It's too soon, even after 46 years. But maybe its for the best. We've been told to aim our reporting at a particular part of the political spectrum. Honestly, I don't know how to do that."

What’s interesting about this is that the defense primes pushed the Boy Scouts to let gays β€œin” after the end of β€œDADT.”

So this is lingering reaction from that from this drunken slattern.

Always nice to remember the good things. Chauvin is still in jail, he's got 17 years left. I never tire of being reminded.

I mean, I don’t think much of the Boy Scouts in general and specific at this point in their history, but God, what a stupid waste and what damage it’s gonna do.

Can't believe there are still journalists claiming Musk has an "absolutist stance on free speech" given his multitude of efforts to punish and silence his opponents for their speech.

In a statement to The Crimson, Summers wrote that the decision to leave was β€œdifficult” and that he remained β€œgrateful to the thousands of students and colleagues I have been privileged to teach and work with since coming to Harvard as a graduate student 50 years ago.”

β€œFree of formal responsibility, as President Emeritus and a retired professor, I look forward in time to engaging in research, analysis, and commentary on a range of global economic issues,” he added.

When academia's stars mistreat people, they're "punished" with relief from teaching, mentoring, and service responsibilities. This frees them to spend more time on the more valued work of research. And dumps less valued responsibilities onto colleagues, making it harder for them to become stars.
