It was fun having my nephew come out to visit us in the Bay Area. His visit prompted my first visit to see the Golden Gate Bridge. Lovely time with my babies all.

In happier news, today is National Black Women Physicians Day.

My fellow Black women physicians and I proudly stand on the shoulders of Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler (1831–1895), who, in 1864, became the first Black woman to earn a medical degree in the United States.
