yes i know about the miku tie-in editions. to me that feels like corporate-ass level OEM itasha. make no mistake tho' i'd totally buy that version if the canbus was my only choice, but only out of irony while i bump nothing but pussy rap out loud as i give zero effs about its Wholesome Waifu image.

btw i still would prefer the suzuki lapin if i had a choice, simply because of the ridiculously over-the-top cottagecore aesthetic it exudes with the bunny motifs and all. this canbus does exude cottagecore too, but in a less in-your-face way to the point that it just becomes strictly An Car to me.

i drove a daihatsu move canbus. it is perfectly cromulent, like every NPC-ass kei-van out here.

tons of space, has cutesy looks, blablabla… all i care is it’s easily rentable, and andrew doesn’t complain about the bench seats nor headroom. FANTASTIC. now i don’t have to get rid of my s660 no more😌

btw it's hilarious (only to me prolly) that the devs chose the "concept edition" of the S660 which only came in white (and is reflected by the only single default color in-game). i had one helluva time trying to paint-match the admiral grey metallic from my own and i obviously still didn't nail it 🙃

srsly tho' when i unlock that in-game i am going to strictly sync every upgrade part with RL S660. which i guess means get mugen aero parts & drop in the equivalent panel filter mine has lol. every RL upgrade will sync with in-game. i'll totally beat the rest of the game that way. wish me luck guys

bandai-azuma skyline touge is fun as hell. with the volcanic vents off-gassing onto the road, it kinda looks like hell up there too.

AFAICT with the rentals i’ve done here even w/toyota rentacar, they’ve only started outfitting their cars w/carplay. there’s a report actually on how JP car companies are HELLA slow on adopting already-proven passenger entertainment tech, & it is a drag on their US subsidiaries to get them approved.

the one i did get is a base model (which btw suzuki got rid of the cute chimes and voices that should be playing with the animations on it, auugh!!!), and that only included a base navi-less radio… so i guess the rental company just outfitted them with the typical navi-capable but carplay-less ones

the one i rented is i believe a 2022 model btw, so yeah that center display is an aftermarket one (which itself doesn't have carplay... lol?????)

the newer ones do since 2024 I believe, also the center display is double-din so it can fit an aftermarket one if needed. i hear the OEM carplay-capable one doesn't have much of the personalized girly flair that the pixel art dash gauge itself has though, lol

learning more & more of how dirtywave M8 commands work, especially relative value modifiers, has made me crumple and rewrite entire track parts in a sole effort to automate every single repetitive part with the least amount of data. programmer's mind being re-awoken & butting in on my creative mind.
