Beloved says he has lost 2 hours today because of Daylight Saving Time. One hour from the “Springing Forward” and 1 hour setting all the clocks.

DD is home and sleeping. Hopefully she will heal better in her own bed with no one waking her every 4 hours to do vitals.

She is better so I’m better. Thank you for your positive thoughts. I’ll stop bothering you. Good night.

We are with her. She is in her room. 5 1/2 hrs surgery. Because this is a teaching hospital and everything is done by committee there is no one to talk to us. She is in pain, crying and I feel totally helpless.

I live less than 2 miles from the hospital so I went home when they took her at 11. I know they have my cell. I guess they will call when she is in her room but I wish I knew if she was even in recovery. This waiting is hurting me.

This past fall I helped a family member who was having surgery at the Roper-St Frances hospitals. They would send updates about where the patient was in the surgical process that reminded me of what companies do shipping your package. It helps. With MUSC I’ve heard nothing. I have no idea how DD is.

DD has surgery about 12:30 but last night they had to align the break and spitted her arm. They gave her ketamine as pain control. She said it was horrible, people looked like stick figures, she was in a tunnel and it sounded weird. She wonders why anyone would consider it recreational.

I have a Theater degree from the University of South Carolina in 1978. There is a bandsaw there that needs a sign documenting body parts “interacted with” from professors. Don’t remember any students making tributes.

I have rarely been around snow so when I have ever tried to build a snow sculpture I to build it up- usually with cleaner snow off a car. Apparently i have been doing it wrong. You build a mound and scrap down. This is important information which I hope to never have an opportunity to use.

We have one bagel left and DD asked Beloved to leave it for her. He said if she gets to it first. (He has been in a mood since installing the dishwasher had problems.) So… our intelligent daughter got to it first- she hid it.

We have our new microwave. Yea! Also a new dishwasher to replace the 2 tiered dish rack, aka broken dishwasher. There have been serious complications so I wish Beloved would slide it into its space so I can have a new dish rack. I will sort this out but not on Saturday night. I am capable.
