We are looking at the exterior of the Hall on a beautiful sunny morning. The sky is blue, the plasterwork between the timber frame is a warm butter yellow and the medieval bricks glow in the early spring sunshine. The flowerbed in front of the Hall has crocuses in white, lilac and purple and the snow drops are waving goodbye as the yellow narcissi pop up to say hello.

I had a great chat last week with @cward1e.bsky.social, looking back at the growth of open source investigation from when it was just a small bunch of people trying to figure stuff out, how the counter-disinformation community formed out of that, and why it's causing us all so many headaches now.

We are looking at a ice sculpture of a Pegasus - a winged horse rearing up on two legs.

We knew we were cool but we have an ice sculpture to prove it! 😉

This is ‘Wings of Ice’ - a Pegasus in frozen form. The Pegasus as you will know is on our Coat of Arms.

This sculpture will be in our garden today and tomorrow as part of York’s Ice Trail!
