I mean, I was pretty pissed when I saw ads in my start menu too. But it ultimately wasn't too hard to get rid of them or at least make things tolerable and the operating system has in my experience been better than the older windows I've dealt with so far.

But I'm using a 4090 with an i9-13900k. 😅

I'm almost never in the explorer menu to begin with and if how Microsoft intended is that it can find my programs when I type them in? I'm in. I almost never spend more than five seconds in windows menus other than file explorer anyway. 😂

Haha, well to each their own. There's only a few things that piss me off about the latest one and those are anything spammy in addition to no longer being able to right click a file and see some of the options by default. But that's like two things. Haven't had the horribly wrong happen in decades.

Yeah, and who knows what else it might be setting that you won't be able to undo. If it's trustworthy I guess that works but I don't know that I want something automatically setting God knows how many different things in my registry it won't undo on uninstall...

It's not just that windows is breaking that stuff too. It's risky to rely on third party software that's probably messing with your registry

It's probably best to just Google how to do what you want before risking third party shit that might stop working every other update or cause problems, anyway

All I ever do is just push the windows/start key and type the name of the program I want in and never spend time in it at all.

There should be a manual way to remove what you're talking about but I'm unsure how.

The thing that annoys me is having to click show more when right clicking files.

Throw in the elevators being down and other things like that sinus infection and I think it's understandable a saber got tired at least. Yesterdays party at Mr S was fun and I got to meet some people at least!

I had decided to leave Dore early today. But it's for the best. Sabers weren't going to be lucid for work on Tuesday if we left then and I can get over a week of my PTO back if I don't skip work on Monday. My loss? two hours in economy and $30 for a bag 😇

Saber got a sinus infection and burned out.

I've never had a hotel experience where the headboard of the bed physically hit me in the head before recently. Ambient noise even without parties at 50-72 dBA from door slams and pipes alone constantly.

Music from the parties and the talking was nothing by comparison. But holy yikes. Lol
