‘Finally got my Etsy up, with more to come!

My shop features yarn hand dyed in small batches with natural earth-derived extracts. This is one of my favorite -> a rich mossy green created by dyeing with pomegranate and quebracho and then dipping in indigo.

These beauties need to be re-skeined because they got slightly out of sorts throughout the long natural dyeing process.

Pink is bamboo. Olive grey is cotton.

Oh my gosh - I am obsessed!!

This most recent experiment with natural dyes has ruined me in the best way.

The colors have such depth and earthiness, yet are easy on the eyes in a way in-your-face bright synthetic dyes just aren’t.

The earthy tones natural dyes provide are so elegantly understated, and I feel so much better about their effect on people, animals, and the environment.

Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

I experimented a bit with dyeing unspun fiber for the first time last night. This was cotton sliver. We’ll see how it comes out!
